Welcome to the Our Lady of Dolours Facebook page. This page is our way of sharing news, activities and events within our community as well as generating relevant conversations surrounding children, parenting education and learning whilst maintaining our ethos of living, loving and learning in Christ. To ensure a positive experience for all as well as maintaining online safety of our community we ask that all engaged in our online community abide by the following Code of Conduct:

All content posted on the OLD Facebook page must be:

• Clean – this is a family friendly forum and explicit language has no place here.

• Relevant – Stick to the topic being discussed. Introduce only topics that are relevant to the OLD community and please don’t try to hijack any conversation.

• Respectful – You may not agree with every post or comments within the OLD page however please remain courteous in all communication at all times.

• Legal – Any posts or comments that contain discriminatory, defamatory, offensive or inappropriate comments, or anything that promote illegal activities or posts/comments that breach any of Facebook’s user guidelines or State or Commonwealth laws will be deleted and the author contacted.

Raising Issues
The OLD Facebook page is not a platform to raise issues of concern, including those involving students or staff. These issues are best managed on an individual basis and not on a public forum. If you have any issues or concerns with something involving our school community please make contact with our school admin and/or relevant staff to ensure your inquiry is addressed promptly. Posts of this nature will be removed and the author contacted.

Tagging of personal profiles discouraged
Tagging personal profiles (names) within comments and posts is discouraged on the OLD Facebook page to protect privacy of our community. Everyone is encouraged to engage with our online community however it should be respected that for reasons of safety, privacy and/or online security some of our community may not wish to be identified here. Tagging of business pages will be accepted if relevant.

Interacting with posts
We encourage comments, likes and sharing of all relevant posts published on the OLD Facebook page. We are proud of our community and appreciate the opportunity to share it.

In short, we encourage everyone who interacts with our Facebook page to have open and honest discussions while being respectful of your fellow families within our community.
